As a Junior Accountant your primary responsibility will be to support the mid-level accounting management to ensure that the daily tasks are up-to-date, updating general ledgers, documentation keeping, supporting reconciliations (including banks, accounts payable and accounts receivable).
What you'll be doing:
- Integrate AP Invoices, confirming that are accordingly with the budget expectations and accounting policies;
- Support Bank Posting and Reconciliation;
- Support Revenue Accounting;
- Support Balance Sheet Reconciliations;
- Review if all AP documents booked in Portugal are saved in physical folders;
- Responsible for keeping all the statutory documentation is saved physically and virtually;
- Documentation Keeping;
- Document the accounting team processes;
- Identify discrepancies and work with AP to solve them;
- Aging analysis;
- Support reconciliation of open items with the operations team;
- Supports getting information to build ad-hoc reports.
What you need to have:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or any related field;
- Knowledge of SNC (Sistema de Normalização Contabilística);
- Fluent in English (written & spoken);
- Fluent in Portuguese (written & spoken).
