At the Fraunhofer IPT in Aachen, we work with more than 530 employees every day to make the production of the future more digital, more flexible and more sustainable. In the department »Bio adaptive Production«, we deal with the development of automated systems and software for the efficient and cost-effective production of biological materials. This enables the upscaling of biological processes for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to optimize laboratory automation with Industry 4.0 technologies.

As a student assistant you support our team in the scaled production of stem cells in bioreactors and their analysis.

Here you partly work on your tasks on site in our laboratories.

• Support in the cultivation of mesenchymal stem cells


• Implementation of bioreactor runs and its analysis afterwards

Hiermit bringst Du Dich ein

• You are studying biotechnology, biology or biomedical engineering or a comparable subject


• Solid background in (stem) cell cultivation and sterile work beneficial


• Ideally initial experience in working with bioreactors and chromatography systems


• A high degree of motivation, initiative, independence and team spirit


• Good language skills in German and/or English
