Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Laboratory Assistant to join the Microbiology department. 

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Laboratory Assistant to join the team at Northern Health in the Microbiology/Molecular department.

The role is for permanent part-time positions of 0.4 EFT - 32 hours per fortnight.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience in processing microbiology samples in a diagnostic laboratory.


• Proven ability to work as part of a team.


• Ability to use laboratory instrumentation.


• Must be prepared to work some evening shifts and weekends.
