Surf Offshore HSE Supervisor

Accountabilities

The Offshore HSE Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards during the offshore execution phase of the EPCI09 project. Key responsibilities include:

• Promoting HSE policies, culture, and objectives as the Client (CPY) HSE reference and focal point at the fabrication yard.
  
• Ensuring contractor compliance with the requirements outlined in CONTRACT Exhibit L.
  
• Supervising HSE compliance during fabrication activities at the site.
  
• Maintaining a strong and visible presence on-site, leading by example with a proactive approach to HSE.
  
• Identifying and reporting HSE deficiencies and ensuring timely corrective actions.
  
• Conducting project HSE meetings, training sessions, audits, and inspections.
  
• Collaborating with project teams to support the realization of EPCI09 and Major Projects (MP) HSE objectives.
  
• Alerting HSE Superintendents and CSR about contractor deviations from HSE standards and objectives.
  
• Primarily assigned offshore, with potential onshore assignments based on operational needs.
  

Key Responsibilities

Daily Activities:

• Attend HSE Supervisor briefings and location-specific toolbox talks (TBT) within assigned areas.
  
• Ensure compliance with the PTW Procedure, acting as the Area Authority in Greenfield operations.
  
• Oversee Brownfield HSE coverage, ensuring adherence to PTW and supporting documentation (e.g., Job Safety Analysis - JSA).
  
• Conduct pre-shift gas tests as an Authorized Gas Tester (AGT).
  
• Collaborate with FOPS and other discipline supervisors to address HSE concerns and promote best practices.
  
• Submit daily HSE observations and actions taken to the HSE Superintendent.
  
• Coach and monitor Contractor HSE Officers to ensure effective performance.
  
• Verify the effectiveness of rescue plans, actively participating in emergency drills.
  
• Conduct HSE inspections as per the HSE calendar, using project-specific inspection formats.
  
• Execute HSE activities assigned by the HSE Superintendent.
  
• Participate in contractor HSE review meetings (e.g., Observation Register or ATR) as required.
  
• Ensure proper HSE communication is posted and maintained on-site.
