Job Responsibilities
- Conduct and interpret a wide range of nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the handling and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Participate in the development and implementation of departmental protocols and policies.
- Provide education and training to medical staff, students, and residents on nuclear medicine techniques and safety.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine and integrate new technologies and methodologies into practice.
- Contribute to clinical research projects and support evidence-based practices.
- Deliver exceptional patient care, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and imaging techniques.
- Proficient in the interpretation of nuclear medicine scans and the use of associated equipment.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in the field.
Job Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant or Senior Specialist in Nuclear Medicine.
- Proven track record of performing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
- Experience in a teaching or mentoring role is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated involvement in clinical research and publications is a plus.
Education
- General Medicine degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Nuclear Medicine.
- Fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine or related subspecialty.
- Valid medical license to practice as a consultant in Nuclear Medicine.
