Job Description:
An International School inQatarthat follows the British Curriculum is looking for candidates qualified to be either a Deputy Headof Secondary School . Theywill be responsible for liaising with teachers inthe SECONDARY SchoolDepartment and for curriculum development for the program. Needto have experience in teaching Secondary grade levels and experience as a Deputy or Head of Secondary School . Develop lesson plans and themes in line with British curriculum objectives. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.
Meeting with teachers, counsellors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problem. Must also establish clear objectives for all lessons, and projects and attend staff meetings
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Education or a Secondary Teaching Subject from a recognized University ( From the UK preferred as the British Curriculum is used)
• TEACHING LICENSE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA ( due to Visa restrictions )
• Must have excellent English communication skills
• Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience at Secondary grade levels (In the UK preferred)
· Minimum 3years experience as DEPUTY or HEADofSECONDARY or in a similar role
• Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment
CONTRACT DETAILS:
Location : Doha, Qatar
Monthly Salary Range: Competitive TAX FREE Monthly salary QAR 16,000 - 19,000depending on qualifications and experience
Housing: FREE Furnished accommodation according to marital status & number of dependents relocating OR a Housing Allowance given between QAR 5,500 and 8,500 monthly, depending on marital status and number of dependents
Health Insurance Coverage: Medical insurance for employee and 1dependent
Annual Air Tickets: Annual Return air farefor employee and 1dependent
Leave: In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per country Labour law. Minimum 30 work days per year
Dependent School Fees: 100% discount for1 child attending same school as employee
Visa and Medical Check Fees: Fees will be paid for employees only. Employee is responsible for fees for dependents
End of Service Benefit: Gratuity of 21 days of basic salary for each month worked as per Qatar Labor law
Paperwork Requirements: Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements
