Operations Duty Manager

Job Description

The main role of the Operations Duty Manager is to manage the Passenger Loading Bridge (PLB) operation service at the airport.

The main job duties of the Operations Duty Manager are the following ones.

1. To coordinate and supervise the PLB operations, ensuring the adequate number of staffs are allocated in order to cover peak hours on daily basis.

2. To brief OPS Group Leaders all the necessary concerns to ensure smooth operations in the airport such as events which happened in previous day, new policy implemented, solve any doubts regarding the operations or the equipment of the PLBs on daily basis.

3. To supervise job of the OPS Coordinators and assist them in case of doubts on the preparation of reports on daily basis.

4. To review all the reports to be sent to the client such as undershoots, overshoots, operations log… on daily basis.

5. To gather all the information and to report it to affected stakeholders whenever there is a delay on ad hoc basis.

6. To respond to airport emergencies or airport incidents/ accidents related with our staff providing a good and early report to internal/ external stakeholders on circumstantial basis.

7. To monitor the training of new PLB Operators, giving support to the OPS Duty Supervisors, to assist the trainees with their doubts and to proceed with their assessment whenever their training is finished on ad hoc basis.

8. To cooperate with the HSE Department in order to avoid work accidents and to improve the awareness of staff on this matter on monthly basis.

9. To elaborate some of the weekly meeting topics such as ongoing problems, possible improvements, doubts, staff requests… on weekly basis.

10. To comply with the Airport Safety and Security Rules and Regulations and the internal safety rules and procedures of TKE on daily basis.

11. To wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times when working at site on ad hoc basis.
