Job Description - Senior Global HR Business Partner

The Senior Global HRBP will be instrumental in designing and implementing a comprehensive global HRBP framework. This role will provide strategic guidance and support to our business leaders on key HR functions, including Performance Management, Employee Relations (ER), Succession Planning, Employee Development, and the use of data for HR decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, operationally very strong, with a robust background in HR and a proven track record of working in a global/regional capacity. The role will cover our headquarters in Doha and our branches in India, Kuwait, and Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement HRBP Framework:

  • Create and deploy a holistic global HRBP framework aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives.
  • Ensure alignment with overall business strategy and goals.
  • Mentor and Develop HR colleagues across all functions and Manage HRBPs and HR Trainees

Performance Management:

  • Educate and support business leaders in implementing effective performance management practices.
  • Drive a culture of continuous feedback and performance improvement.

Employee Relations:

  • Provide expert guidance on ER issues, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment through proactive ER strategies.

Succession Planning:

  • Develop and implement robust succession planning processes to ensure leadership continuity.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and develop future leaders.

Employee Development:

  • Oversee and enhance employee development programs to ensure continuous growth and career advancement.
  • Partner with Learning and Development (L&D) to create and deliver relevant training programs.
  • Support Qatarization development requirements, focusing on the growth and integration of Qatari nationals within the organization.

Talent Management and Development:

  • Implement talent management initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Lead the High Potential and Graduate Trainee Programs.

Strategic HR Partnering:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all HR-related matters.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategies.

Change Management and Transformation:

  • Lead and support change management and transformation initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure smooth transitions during periods of change and transformation.

Data-Driven HR Decision Making:

  • Utilize HR data and analytics to inform and improve HR strategies and practices.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a global/regional HRBP role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations across multiple regions.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services sector is mandatory.
  • Experience in leading transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Qatarization/National development requirements is a plus.
  • Arabic Language is an advantage, but not mandatory.
