Middle/High School PE Teacher

We are looking to recruit an outstanding PE Teacher(Male) in our Middle & High School Division to join ACS International School Doha, Qatar. The suitable candidate must have a positive can-do attitude alongside a strong desire to develop professionally.

Reporting to:  Middle/High School Principal

Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.

Contract Duration: 1- year

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in physical education
• Teaching Qualification- PGCE/BEd or equivalent
• Experience teaching in an international school preferred (IB, AP, and/or MYP)

Knowledge and Skills

• Demonstrate accurate knowledge and understanding of the curriculum, subject content and developmental needs of students by providing learning experience that set high expectations to enable students’ use of higher-level skills as appropriate.
• Fluent in English both written and spoken. The ability to speak Arabic would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of various sports, physical activities, and exercise techniques.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Passion for promoting physical fitness, health, and wellness among students.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design age-appropriate physical education curriculum that align with educational standards and school guidelines.
• Create lesson plans that incorporate a variety of physical activities, sports, games, and exercises to cater to diverse student needs and abilities.
• Provide clear instructions and facilitate learning through active participation.
• Motivate students to actively engage in physical activities and exercises that contribute to their overall fitness and well-being.
• Identify students' strengths and areas for improvement in terms of physical skills and abilities.
• Assess student progress and skill development through observation, participation, and occasional
• Provide constructive feedback to students, enabling them to understand their strengths and areas for improvement.
• Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding curriculum, student progress, and any relevant concerns.
• Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
