Job Description

We are working with a client who is in need of an Agile Project Manager/Scrum Master. This contractor will work under the direction of the Lead Agile Transformation Coach and will be very hands-on with project delivery.

Project Length: 6 months plus

Location:  Hybrid/Onsite in Greater New Orleans Area

Employment Classification: Temporary Project Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Apply agile methodology within a manufacturing environment and for plant operations.
• Organizes, manages, and drives completion of project delivery tasks, assuring proper application of project management standards, tools and methodologies and deliverables.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to help define and document key business requirements.
• Contribute to the value creation for product lifecycle management processes and supporting technologies.
• Provide subject matter expertise in how to leverage agile ways of working for plant squads aligned to critical processes and value streams.
• Provide guidance, analysis, and recommendations to facilitate decision making around the implementation approach. 
• Actively plans and manages risks and issues, ensuring adequate contingency planning and issue resolution occurs throughout the project’s lifecycle.
• Proactively anticipates threats to achieving project commitments and adjusts project schedule and budget through the timely use of project change control procedures. 
• Appropriately escalates project issues and roadblocks to Senior Management.
• Creates project status presentations for plant leadership and Digital COE (above-plant).

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience as Sr. Project Manager; PMP Certification preferred.
• 5+ years of Agile experience; experience running Scrum Teams; Scrum Master Certification is required.
• Experience applying agile methodology within a manufacturing environment and for plant operations is highly desirable.
• Ability to be hands on while working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to frequent change.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
