Lead Engineer - Qatar Executive

In this role, you will be responsible for the serviceability and airworthiness of the Qatar Executive (QE) aircrafts while utilizing the highest practice standards in accordance with QCAA regulations and procedures to ensure the continued safety of flight for the aircrafts. You will also ensure timely performance of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance conducted to the assigned aircraft using all available resources at your disposal.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

· Personally, meet flight crew of the assigned aircraft to debrief and ensure reported defects are accurately defined and recorded.

· Determine materials and other tooling support required to perform assigned maintenance tasks and ensure to define in what priorities will the defects be rectified in and along with this to identify skill sets required and coordinate the effective use of pool personnel (B2 Licensed Engineers, Aircraft Mechanics, Lead Cabin Mechanics and Aircraft Appearance Agents) with other Qatar Executive (QE) Senior Engineers.

· Implement solutions to technical problems and advise the maintenance managers of any impending issues or areas of concern that may have an impact on the aircraft and in particular the cabin system serviceability.

· Work together with OEMs, vendors and supplier to find solutions to defects and/ or problems affecting the operation of the Aircraft.

· Assist in the response to an emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways (QR) or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program

· Consult the Group’s Data Protection Officer in matters related to data protection and privacy as appropriate.

· Apply environmental knowledge and principles and contribute towards Qatar Airways Group’s environmental objectives, its targets followed by implementation and maintenance of the Environmental Management Systems.

Qualifications

About you

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 5+ years of job-related experience

· Licensed engineer capable of holding a minimum of one QE aircraft type authorization and sound knowledge of air legislation

· Holder of ICAO mechanical or avionics license, preferably EASA license.

· Recognized aircraft type rating, preferably an at least one aircraft operated or planned to be operated by QE.

· Previous experience in a supervisory role performing line and base maintenance activities. Conversant with MS Office.

· Ability to make clear, rational decisions under pressure.

· Capable of determining the most appropriate tool(s) and equipment to perform the task at hand.
