Senior Azure Data Engineer and SQL Developer

We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer and SQL Developer to join our dynamic team and work with our client, a prestigious international company based in Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes in the Azure cloud environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data integration, transformation, and storage, leveraging Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure cloud services. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and reliable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure cloud services
- Utilize Databricks notebooks, SQL, and Python for data transformation and processing tasks, ensuring optimal performance and data quality
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data engineering solutions
- Ensure data governance principles and data security practices are adhered to throughout the data engineering lifecycle
- Perform data quality assessment, cleansing, and validation techniques to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data engineering challenges, identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing optimization strategies
• *REQUIREMENTS**: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Azure and Databricks
- Strong proficiency in Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Storage solutions
- In-depth knowledge of data engineering concepts, ETL processes, and data integration patterns
- Hands-on experience with Databricks notebooks, SQL, and Python for data transformation and processing
- Familiarity with data governance principles and data security practices in the context of cloud environments
- Proficiency in working with structured and unstructured data formats, such as CSV, JSON, and Parquet WE OFFER

- You will be working on site, from our client's office in Doha
- The working schedule is 5 days a week, from Sunday to Thursday (In Qatar, weekend is Friday to Saturday)
- Formal business attire is required
