About the role

In this role, you will be responsible to review, redevelop, communicate and implement the Sales value chain in its entirety on a global basis. You will lead the global sales effort to achieve its targets for profitable revenue, market share, service quality and customer satisfaction within the constraints of legislative adherence, agreed KPls and timescales.

As part of your role, your additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Drive the actionable plan to deliver the worldwide revenue target by developing, communicating and monitoring sales activity and results.
  • Define the global sales budget and define the incentive scheme per customer and monitor on pay-out.
  • Closely monitor demand and supply trends affecting QR Cargo's business across the network, anticipating opportunities and risks and create strategic responses to these developments in order to protect or enhance QR Cargo's market position.
  • Develop global key account plans, monitor performance and execute the agreed actions. Closely monitor revenue performance and lead tactical sales interventions to exploit performance improvement opportunities. Map out strategies for each account for prospects and set support targets for each including excess capacity and new routes / products. Communicate each month revenue support too each head Office Corporate account contact as well as advise areas of required support for the network and products.
  • Lead and oversee the network interests in all global customer negotiations with the top client segment.
  • Direct and execute sales strategies from a global perspective with the regions and local offices to define opportunities and a global game plan to maximize the relationship with the customer.
  • Establish and regularly evaluate the teams’ objectives, priorities, plans, procedures and practices to align with and support business objectives as well as train and develop teams to ensure that succession planning is in place

Qualifications

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 10 years of job-related experience
  • Air cargo management experience with a major airline or freight forwarder
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills- financial and predictive modelling tools and techniques, statistical analysis, research methodology, data sourcing and application of data tools
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills with strong negotiation, persuasion and influencing capabilities
  • Ability to work with cross- functional and multi-cultural teams at all levels in a faced- paced working environment
  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational level
  • Experience and ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow with strong mentoring and coaching skills
