Senior Manager Microservices

Functional Context:

The Technology Unit within Ooredoo is the backbone of the organization providing all technology services which enable Ooredoo to deliver its services to its customers across all technology platforms, 24/7/365. In other words, it's responsible for the management of all Ooredoo networks, technology infrastructure/ platforms and processes to achieve fast time-to market, high operational efficiency, and support product/service innovation, and ultimately drive the financial

performance of Ooredoo. The department is responsible for technical design, platform implementation, modification and application support including new products and change requests for portals and applications, API, ESB, microservices, and the E2E testing of solution designs.

Role Accountabilities:

• Introduces micro-services to the Business Unit: leading the service aggregation/ decomposition efforts of existing monoliths in systems of record, working very closely with BSS & OSS and ESS leads.

• Takes responsibility and leads the design and development of the Ooredoo Qatar’s micro-services platform.

• Designs and develops common component for micro-services API gateway and service mesh.

• Improves security of the platform and micro-services.

• Manages set KPI’s and adhere to defined SLA/OLA’s.

• Works with IT architecture on defining micro-services criteria (which service to decompose and in what order).

• Acts as Subject Matter Expert in the application & adoption of micro-services-based solutions across Ooredoo Qatar.

• Provides timely project status reporting to management.
