Supply Chain and Operations Senior Manger

The Opportunity

As a Supply Chain and Operations professional in the Energy Sector, you’ll be focused on bringing solutions and strategies to advance our clients' capabilities. You’ll work with high-performing teams that drive growth and deliver exceptional client service, ensuring that you play your part in building a better working world through better working assets.

Your role as a Senior Manager will focus on the management and delivery of client engagements, often interacting at an executive level, as well as sales and practice development activities, resulting in increased value and efficiency. You will help mentor, coach, counsel your team members and help EY build an inclusive culture and high-performing teams. You will also work with our internal teams to identify and author thought leadership and represent EY at different public forums and events covering your areas of expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Drawing on your knowledge, skills and experience, you will:

1. Establish valued relationships with external clients at the ‘’C’’ level.
2. Solve our clients' most difficult problems by bringing our solutions, strengths and points of view to become their trusted advisor.
3. Lead and support opportunity pursuits and practice development initiatives, proposals and thought leadership.
4. Deliver strategic projects successfully, specifically in the Energy Sector; covering Oil and Gas and Utilities.
5. Deploy leading and industry-standard frameworks.
6. Manage multiple EY colleagues across levels and client team members and mentor them as they progress in their own career.
7. Enhance our brand through strong external relationships across a network of existing and future clients.
8. Develop and lead partnerships with our alliance partners (SAP, IBM, Microsoft, etc.).
9. Lead with confidence to actively promote emerging platforms and share knowledge and best practices.
10. Develop external eminence across the sub-capabilities in the utilities space.
11. Promote an effective forum for sharing Supply Chain and Sector expertise.
12. Help grow our functional and technical consulting skills in the sector, contributing to the development of your own and team's acumen and helping resolve our clients' challenges in Utilities and Oil and Gas.

To Qualify for the Role

You must have:

• Approximately 12+ years of work experience covering in Power and Utilities Sector with capabilities and/or leadership experience and a proven track record of transformational experience to achieve positive outcomes and change in the organization.
• Prior Senior Manager/Director experience in consulting (Big Four, Strategy House, or equivalent) or VP/Director experience in Utilities and Energy sector companies.
• Expert knowledge and understanding of the Energy sector.
• Experience in implementing Digital or Technology Platform Solutions ERP related) or Digital-related solutions.
• Supply Chain experience in Planning, Procurement, Asset Management, Advanced Meter Infrastructure, and Intelligent Operations.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale business development activities.
• Willingness to relocate.
• A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics with strong academic records.
• Experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Preferably Arabic speaking.
• Experience in the Power and Utilities Sector in GCC.
• Strategic Portfolio and or Project and Portfolio Management experience with leading Utilities.
• Experience in Digital Transformation and enhancing Customer Experience.
• Experience with ISO 55001, asset management system framework, and energy audits will be an advantage.
• Represented your organization across leading forums as a qualified expert.
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, KAIZEN will be an added/preferred advantage.
