The opportunity

We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher (Fixed Term), to join at the beginning of new academic year.

This is a fixed term position for Term 1 (Sept. to Dec. 2024), with the possibility of extension until the end of Academic year 2024 - 2025.

The Science Department at Doha College is the largest in the school with lessons taught in 18 purpose-built laboratories. The College follows a balanced science programme at Key Stage 3, in line with the English National Curriculum. At Key Stage 4, students opt for Edexcel IGCSE separate Sciences. At AS and A Level, students opt for Edexcel Pearson’s IAL Physics. At all stages the College achieves excellent academic success.
All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards, students receive iPads upon joining the school, whilst teachers receive both an iPad and laptop.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding role model within the Department and within the College as a whole. Candidates should have demonstrated success in their current role, be highly motivated and successful practitioners and above all else, have a real passion for the subject. Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision, including extra-curricular activities.
