Job Description - Cybersecurity Academy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Academy Manager to oversee and lead a new Cybersecurity Academy. This role will encompass implementation of the academy strategy and overseeing its operation: roadmap & programs curriculum delivery, faculty recruitment, handling RPFs, and fostering partnerships with key industry players. Cyber Academy leadership experience will be instrumental in guiding the academy toward achieving the new strategic objectives of becoming a regional leader in cybersecurity education and research.

Additionally, as a manager you will focus on staff professional development, operational issue resolution, and student academic services management; The role also involves serving as the primary liaison with other departments, external stakeholders, and ensuring clear communication across all levels of the academy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Support the implementation of a strategic vision and operational plan for Cybersecurity National Academy in alignment with its long-term goals.

• Cybersecurity Programs Roadmap, Curriculums, and Accreditations:

• Set the forward-looking vision, oversee the design and delivery of cybersecurity academic initiatives and education programs, ensuring they meet industry standards and address emerging cybersecurity threats.

• Partnership and Collaboration: Establish and maintain partnerships with industry leaders, academic partners, government officials, and other stakeholders to advocate for the academy's vision and support for its long-term goals.

• Resource Management: Manage the budget, human resources, and other resources allocated to the cybersecurity academy efficiently and effectively to achieve its objectives.

• Team Building and Development: Recruit, manage, and develop a team of cybersecurity experts and

administrative staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards governing cybersecurity education and training, as well as organizational governance requirements.

• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the performance and impact of the cybersecurity academy, providing regular reports to involved stakeholders.

• Client Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Own customer relationships while developing and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders, develop growth and retention strategies, participate in Client RFPs, solutions, and proposals.

• Program Management: Establish project plans, budgets, & resource allocation to ensure effective & efficient execution of different training programs and cyber ranges. Monitor status, identify risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in cybersecurity education, training, and management through continuous professional development and networking activities

Professional Experience

10+ years in the Information Technology sector, pre-sales, or cyber consulting experience preferably in L&D or Digital Transformation.

Proven experience in managing large scale & complex training/strategic programs, preferably in the field of Cybersecurity.

Knowledge of industry standards and certifications in Cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+.

Knowledge of cyber ranges (simulations, CTFs, challenges, etc.) and setup for different target groups such as leaders, managers, experts, graduates, students, etc.

Knowledge of academy systems such as learning management system, training scheduler, admission, talent management system, advisory, etc.

Strong program/project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, tight deliveries, and allocate resources effectively.

Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills, as well as problem solving and analytical skills.

Language Requirements

Fluency in English in both written & spoken form.

Arabic is a great advantage.
