Pipeline Construction Supervisor

An exciting opportunity to join new projects with a leading Oil & Gas Operator based in Qatar. They are looking for "Pipeline Construction Supervisor -Civil" to join ASAP. The role is for 1 year contract working 6 days per week / 10 hours per day and will be based in Ras Lafan.

This role is part of the Construction Management team, in charge of the civil aspect of the Construction activities performed by Construction contractor. Supervise Civil construction activities to ensure the technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule of the Project.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Preparing the scope of work for construction & installation of new pipeline

Review and approve the project Quality management plan

Review and approve ITP for civil and excavation works.

Review and monitor the site construction activities in line with the project schedule.

Elaborating of Inspection Testing Plan, Inspection checklist as per work package.

Ensure proper coordination of quality inspections with all the site sub-contractors and vendors on site.

Ensure that works carried out in compliance to Company's quality standards including RLIC guidelines / practices, contractual requirements, applicable codes, QA/QC policies, Industry standards & practices and ensure professional workmanship according to contract specification or Owner’s approval;

Conduct surveillance inspection / expediting as per plans on the activities involving excavation, backfilling, and equipment foundation inspection. Human Capital Department 2024 2

Arrange or organize with the construction contractor for storage, delivery, handling and unloading of materials and/or disposal as appropriate at site.

Track all changes and ensure Red Line Mark Ups (RLMU) are prepared for approved changes.

Receive ,track, coordinate for resolution of all Site Technical Queries (STQ) received from the EPC Contractor.

Reviewing contractor's construction project quality dossier

Compare the planned to actual and provide feedback to the Project Manager.

Review contractors daily and weekly progress reports.

Managing EPC (QA/QC, representatives)

Construction schedule review and feedback to Project Manager.

Familiar with International Codes and Standards and well as specifications of various Operating Companies in the region

Team management – Assigning Tasks, Monitoring, Schedule completion & BOQ variation claims

Executing the work as per approved drawings and getting approval of every work in each stage from the consultant. Coordinate liaise, with the Client issues/Consultant issues related to civil work activities

Participate in the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide technical inputs.

Review or provide feedback on MS & JHA submitted by Construction contractors.

Ability to work within a Team or independently and exhibit compliance to Safe work practices w.r.t GASAL safety rules or policies and RLIC statutory norms & regulation

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Degree in Engineering preferably Civil discipline or equivalent.

Necessary valid qualification(s) from local authorities if any

Minimum Experience:

10+ years of proven experience in Project Execution with significant exposure for Pipeline Construction Project in RLIC/MIC common areas.

Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):

Fluent speaking and writing in English

Reasonable knowledge of RLIC construction practices

Reasonable knowledge of Microtunneling/HDD activities

Reasonable knowledge of Quantity Surveying

Reasonable knowledge of deep excavation and dewatering system in RLIC

Advance computer knowledge Strong problem - solving skills

Ability to delegate some task and follow up their completion

Good communication skills
