Wyndham Hotels and Resorts is looking for a Chief Steward to be part of their team at Wyndham Grand Doha West Bay Beach in Doha, Qatar.

Role Overview:The Chief Steward's main responsibility is to ensure that equipment, food processing facilities, storage areas, walk-in fridges, corridors, and other assigned spaces are always kept clean and hygienic according to set standards.

Key Requirements:

Maintain a friendly and welcoming attitude at all times.Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, interacting with all team members and guests in a proactive and courteous manner.Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.Address concerns raised by employees and guests effectively.Attend all required meetings and trainings.Maintain personal grooming and appearance according to company standards.Ensure compliance with hotel standards and regulations to promote safety and smooth operations.Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate and meet guest and operational needs.Maintain confidentiality of information.Willingness to cross-train in various hotel departments.Show initiative in identifying and implementing solutions.Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Main Responsibilities:

Supervise evening stewards and ensure proper utensil sanitation and storage.Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in kitchens, storage areas, hallways, and equipment.Operate dishwashing equipment ensuring thorough cleaning and sanitation of all items.Report any equipment issues to management promptly.Follow all safety and sanitation standards diligently.Prepare daily route sheets.

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent, experience in a related field is a plus.Supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work flexible and long hours occasionally.Capable of standing for the entire shift.Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
