MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES Marketing and PR strategy and department budget Building-up a strong and efficient Marketing team and managing and ensuring the quality of the Volkswagen marketing in the Middle East region. Brand building - Ensure to meet image and awareness and subsequently sales of the Volkswagen brand and its models. Developing and implementing Volkswagen values, in line with Headquarters principles, in the Middle East Region. Overall supervisory unit to ensure quality in Marketing according to global Volkswagen standards. RESPONSIBILITY/TASKS AND CUSTOMERS MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Overseeing the Marketing team responsible for Retail Marketing Researches Media planning – performance, digital and social media Creative strategy and advertising Public Relations Events, sponsoring, motor shows Digital marketing including web site Customer experience, customer journey and digitalization Annual target definition (for VME and every country) New cars, Used car, After Sales and Fleet marketing Overseeing agencies Managing the general contractual relationship with the agencies. Initiating pitches. Major tasks Annual marketing planning and controlling the implementation. Definition of short term and long term marketing targets and ensuring to meet them. Definition of brand image and awareness targets and ensuring to meet them. Development and implementation of regional media strategies. Initiating new campaigns and projects in all marketing disciplines. Leading the marketing team Functional and disciplinary guidance and appraisal of the marketing team. Recruitment and development of adequate Marketing personnel. Supporting the development of the team member within the company. Head hunting, interviewing and hiring interns for VWME. Supporting Marketing team with following: • ATL: o Brand & model line communication strategy in line with VW HQ standards, campaign development, media planning, coordination & implementation in all markets – Marketing Planning Tool, coordination of all dealer ATL activities (provision of layouts, approvals), Online Activities (Website, B2B), POS • BTL o Planning & execution of model launches – centrally and regionally, planning & execution of all other central events in the region and supervision over local events, sponsoring, • CRM o All on and offline communication towards customers, call center (in & outbound) • PR o Press releases, press trips, press contacts, relationship management. Marketing Director is one of 3 ‘spokespersons’ of VME Interfaces Interfacing with HQ marketing and sales department. Interfacing with regional dealers. Interfacing the VWME departments. Budget Planning and controlling of VWME marketing budget. PCMS/ECMS In your role you have Primary 1st line responsibility for certain elements of the Product Compliance Management System. The responsibilities for which are outlined in the PCMS & ECMS handbook, a copy of which can be found Internal/External Customers Sales Dept. Finance Dept. After Sales Dept. Managing Director Volkswagen Various Agencies Volkswagen Dealers Volkswagen Headquarters Volkswagen subsidiaries world-wide MAIN DIMENSIONS OF BUSINESS PLAN KPI in line with accelerate strategy Share a voice and share of expense Development of brand image and brand awareness QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications University degree of equivalent job experience Core Competencies • Very strong communication and organizational skills.• Ability to guide and motivate and develop people.• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. • Proven professional and clear communication skills with multiple stakeholders. • Familiar with Volkswagen Brand and preferably Middle East Region.• Excellent computer skills (i.e. Word/ Excel/ Power Point).• Excellent English and preferably German and/or Arabic, both oral and written.
