Reporting to theCluster Director of Sales, MICE, responsibilities and essential jobfunctions include but are not limited to the following.EssentialResponsibilities and DutiesJob DescriptionTo be totally familiarwith hotel products, rates, and promotions at all times.Maintain upto date understanding of company products and rates and involvementin cross selling of these when required.To participate in preparingthe sales action plans, attend sales meetings; develop new ideassuch as special packages, programs, promotional activitiesundertaken by sales department, F&B, spa and other hotelrevenue centers.Responsible for Room Sales of managed accounts inMICE segment including all group bookings in both rooms andbanqueting.To review Groups and Events F&B menus andpricing structure in coordination with the DOS-MICE, Events teamsand Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef.To identifyneed periods and maximize meeting space utilization in coordinationwith the DOS-MICE and the Sales Team.Participate in hotelactivities including promotions, sales blitzes, entertainment andother operational areas as directed.Service needs of customers byattending to all requests promptly within 24 hours.Assist theDOS-MICE in pursuing new market segments to secure sales andprepare proposals for consideration.Preparation, communication andparticipation in FAM trip groups/events.Develop strong, secure andproductive business relations with all companies within portfoliounder the geographic / market segment allocated.Positivecommunication of the hotel image to existing and potential customerat all times.QualificationsQualificationsExperience in luxury hotelsegment (5*)Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)Verygood presentation skills (site inspections)Understanding of Groupoperations (arrival procedures, meeting requirements,etc.)Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office aremandatoryKnowledge and experience with Opera is anadvantagePrevious experience in MICE is mandatoryTeam player withsupportive attitudeFluency in English and other languages, writtenand spoken, is preferredFluency in Arabic, written & spokenis an advantage
