Duties and Responsibilities

• The Senior Land Surveyor provides with the surveying information and mapping services required to conduct Geodetic, Topographic, Hydrographic and Remote Sensing surveys.
• Prepares, establishes and verifies technical specifications of survey works.
• Coordinates and participates in gathering information from field and seismic operations.
• Assess the quality of control data to determine the need for additional survey data for engineering, construction, or other projects.
• Complete all surveying assignments on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
• Review existing standards, controls, or equipment used, recommending changes or upgrades as needed.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Experience and Qualifications

• Degree in Geodetic Engineering with minimum 15 years experience in field surveying on a large infrastructure and transportation projects.
• Practical applications using GPS and total station is a must. Must have knowledge of surveying procedures and instruments, engineering formulas – knowledge of drafting, arithmetic, geometry, calculus and engineering formulas, CADD drawings and maps – knowledge of CADD drawings and various maps, maps and drawings – draft maps and detailed working drawings, design and drawings – prepare and review engineering designs and drawings.
• Candidate whose experience has been predominantly with private consultancy firms is highly preferred.
• Candidates must be proficient in English both written and oral. Arabic language communication skills would be a plus.
