We are looking for a senior lawyer to work insupport of various the company departments. Reporting to theAssociate General Counsel, this lawyer will provide legal advice inthe drafting and negotiation of contracts in relation to thecompany' internal departments that provide variousadministrative and operational support to the business. - TheSenior Legal Counsel is responsible for handling all legal relatedissues and advice pertaining to the - Company, Project Owners andaffiliates under relevant service agreements, often involvingcomplex matters - across Qatar and global jurisdictions. - Ensurepractices are aligned with accepted industry standards and bestpractices and are also consistent with - statutory, regulatory andcorporate guidelines. - Has a high degree of freedom in theexecution of job functions, events and activities within legalenvironment. • *Key Job Accountabilities**: - Provideslegal advice and guide stakeholders, regulators and contractors onlegal related issues adhering todepartment guidelines and law in atimely manner. - Reviews and draft policies and regulations toensure consistency with applicable law. - Performs duties such asinterpreting laws and follow up legal suits and arbitration towhich the Company is aparty to and supervise the activitiesundertaken by outside counsel. - Drafts letters and documentsaddressed to Governmental authorities on legal related issues andmaintain filingrecord of government documentation. - Drafts, reviewand negotiate all contractual arrangements including those withcontractors, customers,consultants, suppliers, buyers, lenders toensure compliance with applicable laws and Company policiesanddepartment objectives. - Develops standard agreements andreviews all agreements to ensure Company is legally protected. -Leads on investigations for identifying and resolving legal issues,recommending the most appropriateapproaches to remain efficient. -Represents the Legal Department on internal or external workinggroups and committees and implement legalstrategies in support ofthe legal Department' objectives. - Maintains currentknowledge of international best practices, internal and externallaws, rules and regulationsand integrate into the Company policyand procedure. - Performs other duties at the request of theAssociate General Counsel and/or General Counsel. •*Qualifications**: - Bachelor of Laws degree"LLB" from a recognized law School. - 10 yearsrelevant legal experience including significant experience indrafting, reviewing, and negotiating avariety of contractspertinent to business operations such as lease agreements, IT,staffing, and other types of contracts - Front line legal advisoryexperience in multi-national, multicultural environment - Excellentcommunication and drafting skills in English is required - Goodnegotiating skills
