Job Summary Our Client a 5* start hotel basedin Doha Job Description: Reporting to the Executive Chef,responsibilities and essential job functions include but are notlimited to the following. RESPONSABILITIES: - Plan and direct foodpreparation and culinary activities - Modify menus or create newones that meet quality standards - Establishes culinary standardsfor the Outlet - Consistently offer professional, friendly andproactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues - Manageinventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning and the issuingof supplies and equipment for food production - Cost menusaccurately - Plans menus and compile recipes for food tasting to beapproved by Client - Ensure all Kitchen Colleagues are aware ofstandards and expectations - Maintain and enhance the food productsthrough creative menu development and presentation - Maintaincleanliness and proper rotation of product in chillers - Balanceoperational, administrative and Colleague needs - Ensure properstaffing and scheduling in accordance to productivity guidelines -Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils,and equipment - Follow kitchen policies, procedures and servicestandards - Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handlingfood and beverage - Should be aware of the competition and industryknowledge of new techniques and other know how. - Liaise withpurchasing department to ensure all the items used in the kitchenare of best quality and - always opt to bring new ingredients orbetter quality produce - Ensures the personal hygiene of colleagueis up to the standard. - Ensures that the daily logbook is utilizedand complaints are immediately reported to the Executive Chef. -Ensures that all points mentioned in the log book have been carriedout i.e mis en place and other instructions to complete theoperation. - Maintains record and follow up documentation,checklists for control purposes. - Ensure all the Dubaimunicipality and HACCP regulations are followed and documentationis up to date as per requirement, readiness for all hygiene auditat any given point of time. - Other duties as assignedQualifications: Previous leadership experience as Chef de Cuisinein an Asian restaurant/outlet - Keep up with cooking trends andbest practices - Prior experience in Asian restaurant - Sushi chefbackground with modern Asian cuisine approach - Strong passion forthe art of food design - A passion for excellence and deliveringhigh quality personalized and unique services - A creative and outof the box thinker, with a never say no attitude - Highlyresponsible & reliable - Ability to work well underpressure in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work cohesivelyas part of a team - Ability to focus attention on guest needs,remaining calm and courteous at all times Accommodation,Transportation and Food provided byemployer
