Job Description - Assistant Housekeeping Manager

Obtains list of vacant rooms whichneed to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check outsin order to prepare work assignments
Assignsworkers their duties, and inspects work for conformance toprescribed standards of cleanliness
Advisesmanager or desk clerk of rooms ready foroccupancy
Inventories stock to ensure adequatesupplies
Investigates complaints regardinghousekeeping service and equipment, and assists manager withcorrective action.
Examines rooms, halls, andlobbies to determine need for repairs or replacement of furnitureor equipment, and makes recommendations tomanagement
Conducts orientation training of newemployees to explain company policies, housekeeping workprocedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance ofequipment
Records data concerning workassignments, Grand Performer actions, and time records, andprepares periodic reports
Attends periodicstaff meetings with other department heads to discuss companypolicies and guest complaints, and to make recommendations toimprove service and ensure more efficientoperation
Assists manager in preparing reportsconcerning room occupancy, payroll expenses, and departmentexpenses

Plans workschedules to ensure adequate service.
Supportsand supervisors and effective inspection program for all guestroomsand public space.
Have a thorough knowledge ofproduct, including room types, amenities, services and brandstandards
All other duties as assigned, plannedor un-planned
