N Position Type Management JOB SUMMARY The MarketingAssistant Manager is part of an important team that creates andexecutes property-level communications to our customers. Under theleadership of the Manager of Marketing and Communication, this rolepromotes on-brand messaging to customers through traditional,digital, and social media channels all with the goal of enhancingthe image of the hotel. This role helps build direct marketingplans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to the end ofdriving consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share,and building broader portfolio and brand awareness. This roleassists with building deep partnerships with their regionaleCommerce and Marketing teams to verify all local, social, anddigital marketing efforts are effectively integrated with theselling efforts for the organization. CANDIDATE PROFILE Educationand Experience Required: - 2-year degree from an accrediteduniversity in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administrationor related major and 2 years experience in the sales, marketing,digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing ordigital advertising experience preferred OR 4-yearbachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business,or related major; no work experience required. CORE WORK ACTIVITIESHotel Marketing and Advertising - Assists with the execution of theannual marketing plan to budget. - Provides support to Operations,Food & Beverage and Sales teams to execute promotions andcampaigns to target in-house guests with promotions that driveincremental revenue to the hotel. - Works with advertising agencyon the tactical advertising campaigns' creative and mediaplans, particularly for food and beverage promotions. - Staysinformed about the status, performance evaluation, opportunities,and issues related to online programs and initiatives. - Helpsverify that all advertising for the hotel in digital channels is inalignment with brand voice. Social Media Content Management -Supports facilitation ofsocial media engagement and updatingcontent in local digital channels (e.g., hotel website, travelsites). - Assists with promotions campaign in F&B,weddings, spa, rooms and conferences through relevant digital andsocial media channels. - Engages in proactive online reputationmanagement by surfacing relevant guest comments (positive ornegative) in social media channels and responds accordingly. PublicRelations and Visual Asset Management - Participates in thedevelopment of comprehensive PR plan per quarter along with agency;- Maintains a comprehensive list of local media contracts, withparticular emphasis on food critics and bloggers. - Managesassigned accounts as per the media account management system. -Assists with writing and distribution of all press releases forproperty events, promotions, and outlets. - Supports execution ofhotel sponsored events, community/government relations activities,and press promotional activities. - Helps manage external vendorsand media agencies; Assists with review of PR leads from thecontinent PR Leader regarding which are the best media to promotethe hotel. - Supports the co-ordination of photography forF&B advertising, collateral and public relations purposesbetween the hotel, advertising agency and the regional fieldmarketing teams. - Assists with photo shoots for seasonal orfestive promotions in partnership with the cluster or areamarketing team. May serve as a point of contact for regionallyapproved local photographers for food, amenity, and propertyimagery. Direct Marketing and Collateral Development - Assists withcoordination and execution of Hotel and F&B printedmaterials. - Controls quantity and inventory of all Hotel marketingcollateral and verifies copies are filed in a comprehensive manner.- Supports the production of all property, F&B display, andtemporary signage in hotel public areas. - Assists with theexecution of F&B direct marketing activities. - Verifiesall collateral is as per brand standard guidelines and incompliance with Brand Standard Audit (BSA). General - Assists inthe development, co-ordination and execution of all communicationsactivities. - Helps with the publication of hotel’snewsletter(s). - Supports communications duties and functions asdeemed necessary. - Assists in the liaison and execution of jointF&B promotions. - Works with the Manager of Marketing andCommunication to verify the Hotel’s website and relatedwebsites are updated on a regular basis. - Keeps abreast ofcompetition and its collateral, advertising, and marketing effortsand constantly evolving digital and marketing trends. - Performsother reasonable job duties
