Job Description - AV Design Engineer

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading system integrator specializing in cutting-edge Audiovisual (AV), IT Business Solutions, and Lighting Systems. Known for our innovation and expertise, we deliver high-performance solutions for diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead shop drawing preparation and submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.

- Review and analyze tender documents, RFQs, and project drawings to develop technical proposals.

- Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BoQ) for AV and integrated systems.

- Develop comprehensive schematic designs for AV, control, and DSP systems.

- Conduct coordination workshops and provide technical support to project teams.

- Prepare and maintain progress reports, including monthly/annual updates, drawings logs, and documentation.

- Review and refine system proposals through delegated Design Reviews (DRs).

- Train and mentor design team members & drafters to enhance team efficiency.

- Deliver internal training sessions on selected AV/IT topics to company staff.

- Ensure compliance with the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS).

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

- Min 5-7 years of experience in AV system design, preferably in a consultancy or system integration environment.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, and other design/documentation tools.

- Strong knowledge of AV standards, signal flow, and system integration.

- Experience with control & DSP platforms (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, Biamp).

- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

- Avixa CTS-D certification (preferred).

- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
