Job Description - Boring Machine Operator A

Check machine to be used formissing, loose, or damaged equipment. Check oil and coolant levelsand initiate maintenance service and/or repair ticket, asrequired.
Identify type of set-uprequired.
Prepare to set-up job (e.g.,production orders, first lots and tool tryouts) or run previouslyset-up job by reviewing work order, tie-in sheets,operator's or setup documents, blueprints or CATIAplots.
Ensure that correct material (e.g.,type, size, quantity) and tools or fixtures were issued and arefree from visible defects.
Perform layout work,as required.
Edit speeds and feeds formachining programs within established guidelines for developmentalwork or MTO's, as required.
Continueprogress on in-work job and ensure safe working conditions, asrequired.
