Credit & Risk Excellence  A.Business Lead a.Role Purpose  Lead the design and implementation of the bank’s Credit & Risk Excellence agenda, focused on enhancing credit decisioning, optimizing risk-adjusted returns, and strengthening portfolio governance. The role will drive transformation initiatives across credit policies, risk appetite frameworks, approval authorities, and sector/product risk strategies to support sustainable business growth.  The incumbent will lead the assessment and redesign of credit processes, embed RAROC (Risk-Adjusted Return on Capital) principles into decision-making, and establish differentiated approval frameworks across sectors, products, and geographies.

c.Key Responsibilities: 


Credit Strategy & Risk Excellence: 


1.Lead the development and execution of the bank’s Credit & Risk Excellence strategy.


2.Drive initiatives to improve credit quality, portfolio performance, and risk-adjusted returns.


3.Support alignment of risk frameworks with business growth objectives. 



Credit Policy & Process Transformation:


1.Review and redesign end-to-end credit processes to improve efficiency, governance, and decision turnaround times.


2.Simplify and standardize credit policies while maintaining robust risk controls. 3.Identify opportunities for automation and digitization across the credit lifecycle. 




RAROC & Portfolio Optimization:


1.Develop and embed RAROC-based methodologies into credit decision-making and portfolio management.


2.Analyze profitability, capital consumption, and risk-return performance across portfolios. Recommend portfolio optimization actions based on risk-adjusted returns.



Risk Appetite & Approval Framework Design: 


1.Design and implement sector-specific and product-specific risk appetite frameworks.


2.Review and optimize credit approval matrices, delegation authorities, and governance structures. 


3.Support execution of risk appetite changes across multiple geographies and business segments.


4.Ensure consistency between risk appetite, portfolio strategy, and business objectives.



Sector & Product Risk Management:


1.Develop differentiated risk strategies by sector, client segment, and product type.


2.Identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies.


3.Support portfolio concentration and sector exposure management.



Stakeholder Management & Governance:


1.Partner with Business, Credit, Risk, Finance, and Strategy teams.


2.Present recommendations and portfolio insights to senior management and governance committees.


3.Drive alignment across regional and country stakeholders on risk initiatives. 



d.Experience & Profile Experience:


1.12+ years of banking experience with significant exposure to Credit Risk, Wholesale Banking, Risk Management, or Credit Transformation.


2.Proven experience in credit policy design, risk governance, and portfolio management.


3.Strong experience in RAROC analysis, risk appetite frameworks, and approval authority models.


4.Experience managing cross-functional transformation initiatives across multiple geographies. 



Profile:


1.Deep understanding of credit risk management and wholesale banking portfolios.


2.Strong expertise in RAROC methodologies, portfolio analytics, and capital optimization.


3.Experience designing risk appetite frameworks and approval governance structures.


4.Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.


5.Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.


6.Based in Qatar.


7.Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.


8.Strong communication and executive presentation skills.



B.Business Analyst: 


a.Role Purpose:


Support the delivery of Credit & Risk Excellence initiatives through detailed analysis, process redesign, policy enhancements, and risk framework implementation. The role will support the development of RAROC methodologies, risk appetite frameworks, approval models, and credit process improvements across sectors, products, and geographies.


The Business Analyst will work closely with Risk, Credit, Finance, and Business teams to enable data-driven decision-making and strengthen risk governance.

1.Analyze portfolio performance, credit trends, and risk-adjusted returns. 2.Support assessment of sector, product, and geographic risk exposures. 3.Develop insights to support risk and portfolio optimization initiatives. 



Credit Process & Policy Enhancement:


1.Document and assess current-state credit processes and approval workflows. 2.Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation.


3.Support development and implementation of credit policy enhancements.



RAROC & Risk Analytics:


1.Support development of RAROC models and performance measurement frameworks.


2.Analyze capital utilization, profitability, and portfolio performance metrics. 3.Prepare management reports and portfolio analytics.



Risk Appetite & Approval Framework Support:


1.Assist in defining sector-specific and product-specific risk appetite parameters.


2.Support redesign of approval authorities and governance frameworks.


3.Track implementation of risk appetite changes across business units and geographies



Stakeholder Coordination:


1.Coordinate with Risk, Credit, Finance, Business, and Technology teams. 2.Gather and document business requirements for risk initiatives.


3.Support workshops, governance meetings, and implementation activities. 



Transformation & Reporting:


1.Support delivery of risk transformation initiatives and change programs. 2.Monitor implementation progress and benefits realization.


3.Develop dashboards and reporting to track risk and portfolio performance. 



d.Experience & Profile: 


Experience: 


1.7–10 years of banking experience in Credit Risk, Corporate Banking, Risk Analytics, Credit Governance, or Business Analysis.


2.Experience supporting credit transformation, policy enhancement, or risk management initiatives.


3.Exposure to portfolio analytics and risk reporting preferred.



Profile:


1.Strong understanding of credit risk principles and wholesale banking portfolios.


2.Knowledge of RAROC, risk-adjusted performance metrics, and portfolio analytics.


3.Experience in process mapping, business requirements gathering, and policy documentation. 


4.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. 5.Based in Qatar.


6.Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.


7.Strong reporting, communication, and presentation skills.
