A.Business Lead:


a.Role Purpose: Lead the design and implementation of a transparent and enterprise-wide Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework across the bank, ensuring alignment between business strategy, balance sheet management, risk appetite, and performance measurement. The role will drive the transformation of the current pricing approach from treasury-centric profit attribution to a business-driven P&L management model, creating greater transparency and accountability across business lines.  


The role will oversee the redesign of funding and liquidity pricing methodologies, establish governance between Treasury and Global Markets, and ensure FTP mechanisms appropriately reflect funding curves, liquidity premiums, optionality costs, behavioral assumptions, capital allocation, and risk-adjusted returns.

c.Key Responsibilities:


 FTP Strategy & Framework Design:


1.Lead the development and implementation of a transparent and consistent FTP framework across the bank.


2.Redesign pricing methodologies to support business-led profitability and performance measurement.


3.Establish a target-state FTP operating model aligned with strategic and financial  objectives.


4.Ensure FTP principles are consistently applied across products, businesses, and geographies. 



Funding, Liquidity & Pricing Methodology:


1.Review and redesign methodologies relating to:


-Funding Curves


-Liquidity Premiums 


-Term Funding Costs


-Optionality Costs 


-Behavioral Assumptions


-Transfer Pricing Spreads


2.Ensure pricing mechanisms accurately reflect balance sheet economics and liquidity consumption.


3.Align pricing methodologies with regulatory and internal risk requirements. 



Treasury & Global Markets Governance:


1.Define and strengthen governance between Treasury and Global Markets functions. 2.Establish appropriate “Chinese Walls” and accountability frameworks between Treasury, GM, and business units.


3.Review margin allocation principles and ownership of profitability components. 4.Ensure transparent attribution of funding and risk-related revenues. 



Business-Led P&L Management:


1.Transition profitability measurement from treasury profit markup models to business-owned P&L frameworks.


2.Enhance visibility of economic profitability across business lines.


3.Support embedding FTP and balance sheet costs into business decision-making.


4.Drive accountability for pricing, profitability, and balance sheet utilization. 



RAROC & Performance Optimization:


1.Integrate FTP methodologies with RAROC and capital allocation frameworks. 2.Review and optimize profitability thresholds, hurdle rates, and return metrics. 3.Support portfolio optimization and balance sheet efficiency initiatives.


4.Provide recommendations to improve risk-adjusted returns across products and businesses. 



Stakeholder Management & Governance:


1.Partner with Treasury, Finance, Risk, Global Markets, Business Banking, Corporate Banking, and Technology teams.


2.Present recommendations to senior management committees and governance forums.


3.Lead enterprise-wide stakeholder alignment on FTP transformation initiatives. 



d.Experience & Profile Experience:


1.12+ years of banking experience in Treasury, ALM, FTP, Finance, Risk Management, Balance Sheet Management, or Treasury Transformation.


2.Proven experience designing or implementing FTP frameworks within large financial institutions. 


3.Strong experience in balance sheet optimization, liquidity management, and profitability frameworks.


4.Experience with RAROC, capital allocation, and business performance management methodologies.


5.Experience leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives involving Treasury and Finance functions. 



Profile:


1.Deep expertise in FTP methodologies, ALM, liquidity management, and balance sheet optimization.


2.Strong understanding of funding curves, liquidity premiums, optionality pricing, and behavioral models.


3.Experience redesigning profitability attribution and business performance frameworks.


4.Strong knowledge of Treasury, Global Markets, and banking product economics. 5.Experience establishing governance models and accountability frameworks across Treasury and business units.


6.Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities. 


7.Based in Qatar.


8.Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory. 


9.Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.



B.Business Analyst:  


a.Role Purpose: 



  • Support the design and implementation of the bank’s FTP transformation agenda through detailed analysis, pricing methodology reviews, profitability assessments, and operating model enhancements.

  • The role will assist in redesigning FTP frameworks, funding methodologies, liquidity pricing models, and business profitability mechanisms to support transparent and risk-adjusted performance management. 

  • The Business Analyst will work closely with Treasury, Finance, Risk, Global Markets, and Technology teams to support delivery of the target-state FTP framework.

Pricing & Profitability Analytics 


1.Analyze product, business, and portfolio profitability.


2.Support development of RAROC-based performance metrics and profitability models.


3.Assess impact of FTP changes on business performance and pricing outcomes.



Methodology & Framework Support: 


1.Support redesign of:


-Funding Curves


-Liquidity Pricing Models


-Behavioral Assumptions


-Optionality Methodologies


-Margin Allocation Frameworks



2.Document business and functional requirements for FTP enhancements.


Governance & Operating Model Support:


1.Assist in defining governance structures between Treasury, Global Markets, Finance, and Business Units.


2.Support development of policies, procedures, and operating model documentation. 3.Facilitate stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering sessions.



Transformation & Implementation:


1.Support implementation of FTP methodologies, reporting frameworks, and system enhancements.


2.Coordinate with Technology teams on data, reporting, and calculation requirements. 3.Track delivery milestones and support change management activities.



Reporting & Performance Monitoring:


1.Develop dashboards and management reports related to profitability, FTP, and RAROC performance.


2.Monitor implementation outcomes and business impact. 3.Provide analytical insights to support decision-making. 



d.Experience & Profile:


Experience:


1.7–10 years of banking experience in Treasury, Finance, ALM, FTP, Risk Analytics, Business Analysis, or Performance Management.


2.Experience supporting FTP, Treasury, Finance, or balance sheet management initiatives.


3.Exposure to profitability, RAROC, liquidity, or capital management frameworks preferred. 



Profile:


1.Strong understanding of FTP methodologies and banking balance sheet management.


2.Knowledge of funding curves, liquidity pricing, and profitability frameworks.


3.Experience in business analysis, process documentation, and financial analytics.


4.Strong analytical, quantitative, and stakeholder management capabilities


5.Understanding of Treasury and Global Markets operating models. 


6.Based in Qatar.


7.Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.


8.Strong reporting, communication, and presentation skills.
