Carpenter

This position is based in Ireland.

Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Works on residential, commercial, or industrial projects, performing tasks such as framing, roofing, trim work, cabinet installation, and more.

Key Duties:

• Cut, shape, and join wood and other materials to construct structures and fixtures.
• Install framework, flooring, roofing, doors, windows, and cabinets.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Measure and mark materials accurately.
• Perform both first-fix (structural) and second-fix (finishing) carpentry.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools safely.
• Adhere to building codes and safety regulations.

• Completion of an apprenticeship or proven experience as a carpenter.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools common to carpentry.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of various wood types, fasteners, and construction methods.
• Physical strength, dexterity, and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
