What you will be doing:

• Plan and execute a diverse menu of bakery items, including bread, pastries, and cakes, while developing and refining recipes to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.
• Ensure all baked goods meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation through regular tastings and evaluations.
• Oversee daily bakery operations, including food preparation, baking, and plating, while training and supervising kitchen staff to maintain quality standards.
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food costs to implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with other departments and culinary team members to plan bakery offerings for various outlets, create seasonal menus, and execute special promotions.
• Stay informed about current food trends, techniques, and ingredients, incorporating new ideas into menu offerings.

Your experience and skills include:

• Proven experience as a Head Baker or similar role in a high-end bakery, patisserie, or hotel environment, with a degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, or a related field preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of bread and pastry production techniques, including sourdough, laminated dough, cake baking, decorating, and finishing skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and collaborating with staff at all levels.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
