Job Description - Cluster Marketing Manager - Hilton

Cluster MarketingManager

A Cluster Marketing Managerwill play a crucial role in developing and implementing the annualmarketing plan driving key objectives current initiatives andrelevant marketing activities relating directly to the cluster. Therole will be responsible for leading the clusters marketing teamand ensuring the department performs an integral role in bringingtogether all function areas to ensure commercial targets areheightened.

What will I bedoing

As Cluster Marketing Manager youwill be responsible for the results of the marketing plan andactivities used by the hotel to increase brand awarenesscommunicate promotions to all relevant target markets and addresshotel business needs. Specifically you will perform the followingtasks to the highest standards:

BusinessFunction

  • Develop proactively manageand implement the annual cluster marketing plan to includeeCommerce brand and loyalty marketing within budgetguidelines
  • Drive the development of a sound B2Band B2C strategy by segment for each hotel in line with thecommercial focus process
  • Responsible formeasuring the success of all marketing activities promotions andcampaigns and producing performance reports for all keystakeholders
  • Manage the roll out of marketinginitiatives to support the cluster in meeting their revenue targetsalso by leveraging key function activity in Regional MarketingeCommerce Marketing Operations Strategic Partnerships and HHonorsand third party distribution
  • Oversee theexecution of all promotional activities whether local regional orglobal across all available channels ensuring brand adherence andeffectiveness
  • Ensure sales and F&Bteams receive adequate marketing support and ensure collateralrequirements are met
  • Always be the brandchampion ensuring all collateral conforms to agreed brand standardsand content is compliant of corporate guidelines and within budgetguidelines across all marketingactivities
  • Support individual brand initiativesand ensure hotel brand campaigns are rolled out effectively andcommunicated using the right tone and voice for eachsegment
  • Develop and manage all social mediaactivity for the cluster and support departmentalinitiatives
  • Recognise and execute opportunitiesfor the loyalty program HHonors as well as other incentiveprogrammes at cluster level and manage all cluster CRM and databaserequirements
  • Identify local partnershipopportunities with the regional team and oversee the ongoingexecution of revenue drivingactivities
  • Responsible for building a coherentsocial media strategy for the hotel and itsoutlets
  • Seek to grow social media followers andto enhance interaction with customers on these sites using relevanttools and techniques
  • Respond to customerpostings as appropriate tackling any complaints andissues

ManagingExecution

  • Achieve agreed performancegoals and marketing objectives of role set out by the LineManager
  • Manage execution of marketing projectsin line with resources and budget objectives
  • Bethe marketing representative in the cluster during commercial focusmeetings and proactively identify revenuedriving opportunities withother key stakeholders
  • Conduct continuousanalysis of competitive environment and consumer trends and usefindings to continuously evaluate and drive commercialsuccess
  • Ensure full brand compliance across allmarketing initiatives at cluster level
  • Leadeffective content management across all available channelsincluding hotel website OTAs social media mobile marketing andpartnership programs
  • Conduct regular clustermarketing audits to meet Centre of Excellence auditrequirements
  • Participate in all internal andexternal marketing meetings and attend relevant industry eventstraining workshops and tradeshows
  • Activelysupport Line Manager on all inhouse merchandising activity andensure all merchandising opportunities are identified and maximisedand communicated across organisation
  • Respondquickly and efficiently to all internal and externalrequests
  • Understand and champion Hiltons corevalues

DevelopingTalent

  • Create an effective marketingteam on property fostering a productive team culture andencouraging career growth
  • Encourage andmotivate individuals to achieve key company and personal objectivesand targets
  • Put in place a dedicated careerpath for each team member with the creation of a PersonalDevelopment Plan highlighting key development milestones andtimelines
  • Conduct regular performance reviewsensuring adequate feedback is given and used proactively forfurther development
  • Highlight and encourageteam members to participate in job specific training opportunitiesand attend internal and external networking industryevents

BuildingRelationships

  • Establish excellentopen communication with all operational teams i. e. GM DBDF&B and other department heads throughout theregion
  • Develop and maintain good workingrelationships with various levels of Hiltons personnel includingcorporate and regional marketing corporate brand eCommerce loyaltyand partnerships teams
  • Proactively develop andmaintain effective working relationships with all externalcustomers to include key members of the design and media agenciespartnerships and online marketing
  • Excel atbeing an effective team player to all corporate regional clusterand hotel level personnel by demonstrating a can do and customerfocused attitude providing peer support crossfunctional and acrossregions

  • College degree in Marketingor Hotel Management
  • Experience of working in asimilar marketing position in the hospitalitysector
  • Experience of managing and motivating ateam along with evidence of driving successful teamresults
  • Proven knowledge of creating leadingand managing fundamental and complex projects to tightdeadlines
  • Experience of developing creating andmanaging marketing campaigns with associated costs and working tobudget restraints
  • Complete understanding of keyfunctions relating to marketing strategies and initiatives whilstmanaging multiple work streams
  • Experience indeveloping and implementing effective and realistic marketing plansand strategies including budget evaluation management andreporting
  • Demonstrated ability to interacteffectively with various levels ofmanagement
  • Outstanding communication skills inall areas of writing listening and speaking English. Developedproficiency of native language dependant on location ofrole.
  • Communicate key information effectivelyto all levels of management using a variety of communicationtools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Officeapplications budget management project and timemanagement
  • Able to think analyticallycritically and strategically when faced with unique opportunitieschallenges prioritising and identifying productivesolutions
  • Ability to influence others in keysituations whilst maintaining positiverelationships
  • Demonstrate excellentinterpersonal skills to include strong leadership culturalsensitivity
