Job Description - Conference and Events Sales Coordinator

Job Description

 What you will be doing:

  • Confirm all event-related details with clients to ensure accuracy and alignment with expectations.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships before, during, and after events to encourage repeat business.
  • Coordinate all elements of convention bookings, including meeting space, guest room blocks, food and beverage arrangements, and audiovisual requirements.
  • Initiate and manage billing procedures, ensuring deposits and credit applications are received with complete information and within required timeframes.
  • Conduct pre-conference meetings with clients and relevant departments to ensure all event details are clearly communicated and executed.
  • Maintain and update the conference database, ensuring accurate records of key contacts and client information.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:      

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or events industry is required
  • Strong knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve problems effectively
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
