Consultant -Data Portal

This role requires a combination of excellent technical skills, problem-solving ability, and prior hands-on experience building platforms for large-scale data access and distribution.

• Front-End Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain the user interface of the dissemination portal using React and modern front-end best practices.
  • Implement responsive, accessible, and performant UI components.
• Integration & Backend Collaboration:
  • Integrate the front-end with backend APIs, ensuring smooth data flow and user interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers to connect the UI with the semantic layer for enriched data representation.
• Architecture & Best Practices:
  • Contribute to overall application architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and security.
  • Review and optimize existing code for performance and quality.
• Data Dissemination Portal Expertise:
  • Apply prior experience in designing and developing web portals for data dissemination, including data filtering, visualization, and download features.
• Collaboration & Mentorship:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, UX designers, and product managers.
  • Mentor junior developers, fostering knowledge sharing and coding best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience AI assisted coding.
• 7+ years of professional experience in full stack web development.
• Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Proven experience integrating front-end applications with backend APIs and semantic layers.
• Previous hands-on experience developing data dissemination web portals.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or other API paradigms.
• Backend technology experience (Node.js, Python, Java, Express JS/ Fastify and graphql).
• Frontend and Data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Highcharts, Plotly).
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
