We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Control Engineer specializing in Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing costs associated with road infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and budget adherence.

• Develop and implement cost control systems and procedures for road O&M projects
• Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for ongoing and future projects
• Monitor project expenses, identify cost variances, and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to optimize resource allocation and improve cost efficiency
• Conduct regular cost analysis and provide detailed reports to management
• Evaluate and validate contractor invoices and change orders
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract negotiations
• Implement value engineering techniques to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain accurate cost databases and historical records for future reference
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control for infrastructure projects, preferably in roads operations and maintenance
• Proficiency in cost control software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent knowledge of cost estimation and budgeting techniques for large-scale projects
• Familiarity with road construction and maintenance processes
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
• Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly
• Professional certification in cost engineering or project management (e.g., CCP, PMP) preferred
• Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Qatar, is advantageous
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required
