About the job:
In this interesting role you will be working in our Operations Department, within the Terminal Operations sub-department.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Adherence to quality, health & safety, information security and business continuity policies.
- Operate shore cranes, ship cranes, and mobile cranes effectively to support daily terminal operations.
- Achieve maximum discharge volume per crane working hour and per ship working hour in line with operational targets.
- Contribute to enhanced terminal productivity, reduced vessel turnaround time, and optimized ship working hours.
- Ensure cranes and lifting equipment are safe, functional, and inspected prior to and during operations.
- Follow all instructions issued by Supervisors and the Crane Foreman to ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Maintain continuous communication with Supervisors and Foremen regarding equipment condition, delays, or operational issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements and prevent any safety breaches during crane operations.
- Work closely with terminal teams to achieve the highest productivity levels.
- Support operational coordination with internal teams and external service providers as required.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties relevant to the role as assigned by the line manager as per business requirements.
About you:
For you to be successful you will need to have the following:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certified and competent Crane Operator, preferably with experience in dry bulk or building materials handling.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in terminal operations.
- Licensed to operate mobile cranes with capacity ranging from 100 to 350 tons, with valid TPI certification.
- Good knowledge of terminal operations practices and dry bulk materials handling.
- Basic command of English is required. Knowledge of Hindi and Urdu will be an advantage.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced terminal environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and cross-cultural awareness skills.
