Electrical Draftsman

Responsible for creating electrical wiring,layout drawings and schematic diagrams for electricaldevices.

Duties &Responsibilities, (include but not limitedto):

· Draft workingdrawings, wiring diagrams, wiring connection or cross-sections ofunderground cables, as required forinstructions.

· Assemble documentationpackages and produce drawing sets which are then checked by anengineer.

· Compute mathematicalformulas to develop and designdetails.

· Check dimensions ofmaterials to be used.

· PrepareKahramaa and QCCD document.

· Drawmaster sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installationsto existing facilities and exact specifications anddimensions.

· Create visual guidelinesfor construction purposes.

· UseComputer Aided Design and Drafting systems to preparedrawings.

· Create and store drawingselectronically.

· Prepare drawings toproduction or construction teams and provide adjustments asnecessary.

· Confer with engineeringstaff and other personnel to resolveproblems.

· Supervise and train othertechnologists, technicians anddrafters.

· Provide the support andcooperation in regards to the Quality department requirements andAudits.

· Provide the support andcooperation in regards to the business development &tenders management activities whenrequested.

Education &Experience:

·Diploma/Bachelor degree in ElectricalEngineering.

· 5 to 8 years ofexperience

· Working knowledge of 3Dmodeling skills for electricalsystems.

· Auto Cad/Revitproficiency.

RequiredSkills:

· Knowledge ofengineering principles, as well as general knowledge of generatingfacilities, power substations and protection and controlschemes.

· Design skills, includingthe development of detail design drawings from engineeringguidelines and sketches.

· Proficientwith the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database,word processing, and presentationapplications.

· Able to interface withelectrical engineering and manufacturing on specific projectassignments.

· Innovativeself-starter, able to work with a minimum ofsupervision.

· Communication andinterpersonal skills including the ability to consult and resolveinternal and external customer issues which may be critical,sensitive, moderately complex, or urgent innature.

· Ability to work with alllevels of an organization including people with different stylesand backgrounds.
