Job Description - Environmental Officer

- Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with the Environmental Management Plan.

- Monitor waste segregation, storage, handling, transportation, and disposal records.

- Inspect site controls for dust, noise, wastewater, drainage, spills, and chemical storage.

- Coordinate environmental sampling and monitoring with approved service providers.

- Identify environmental nonconformities, report findings, and follow up on corrective actions.

- Deliver environmental inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions.

- Assist with environmental incident reporting, investigations, and emergency response exercises.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Minimum 5 years of relevant site environmental experience.

- Experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or oil and gas projects.

- Working knowledge of environmental monitoring, waste management, spill prevention, and pollution controls.

- Familiarity with ISO 14001; Internal Auditor certification is preferred.

- Strong inspection, documentation, reporting, and workforce communication skills.
