Fault Analysis Engineer

To collect data and sequences of the incident in chronological order from all concerned locations and persons involved. To prepare and submit the preliminary report on the incident. To analyze the root cause of the incident and coordinate with all concerned/related departments.
If required a Technical Committee or Investigation Committee be formed as per advice and direction of higher authority. To coordinate and prepare a final report based on the Committee's analytical results and submit to Head of Operation and Fault Analysis Unit for necessary action. To oversee the development and implementation of remedial and preventive measures in the occurrence-ridden workplaces as well as whole of ENA networks. To oversee the compilation of guidelines or manuals for root cause analysis. To conduct educational campaigns to boost safety awareness; To propose modifications / alterations in the specifications of plant/equipment based on previous case studies to take care of plant/ equipment failures; To propose new initiatives/changes in the prevailing practices, if required, to eliminate failures due to inadequacy in the existing system; To assist to carry out safety operation audits under normal circumstances when there is no incident under investigation.

Education & Graduate or Post Graduate in Electrical Engineering from a reputed Institution. Affiliation to reputed and established Professional Body. Job E 1.Must have minimum 15 years experience in major electrical utilities or licensees of international acclaim. Out of which minimum 10 years experience in operation and maintenance of MV/HV/EHV up to 400 kV Network. 2.Must have thorough knowledge and experiences on modern network protection system. 3.Must have capabilities and experiences in analyzing root cause of accidents/incidents in Transmission and Distribution systems. 4.Must have thorough knowledge of safety (operation) rules and regulations, international Grid Code and safety operation procedure with direct involvement and participating. 5.Shall have innovative and modest approach to carry out the job and responsibility. 6.Shall have command and fluency on English language to communicate/coordinate and prepare draft and reports.
