Purpose: Maintain good working relationship to assure proper maintenance with maximum utilization Coordinate and follow-up on major operational issues with regards to fleet technical functions and activities
Purpose: Follow-up and control fleet technical related projects and activities Coordinate and follow-up on third-party certification audits and requirements

Accountability: Accountable to their line manager and direct reports so far as is reasonably practical to ensure: • a safe place or work; • safe systems of work; • safe plant & equipment; • provision of information and training.
Responsibility: Responsible for: His/her personal safety and that of all personnel under his/her authority, including others who may be affected by the company's activities. In particular to: • Conduct risk assessments on activities within their department ensuring that the methods and safe systems of work are safe and implemented; • Ensure all employees and contractors under their control are competent to undertake their duties; • Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and investigated; • Promote good behaviours and set a personal example with regard to occupational health and safety matters.
Authority: Managers/Supervisors have the authority to stop work when health and safety is unsafe or being compromised.
Responsibilities Key Roles & Responsibilities
• The Fleet Manager shall be responsible for maintenance, operations and ship management activities of a fleet of vessels assign to him and reports to VP-Operations. • Liaise with Charterers on technical compliance of vessels. Review and analyse customer's technical complaints and ensure customer satisfactions. • Ensures implementations related to existing, new IMO and Class Regulations on vessels • Monitors reports received from vessels and guides the superintendents as necessary. • He shall carryout an in-depth 6 monthly inspection of vessels under his charge either in port or at offshore locations and make written reports to the management. • Monitor vessel performances effectively and efficiently by means of following up on shipboard maintenance, repair programmes, dry dockings, class and flag surveys • Caries out Risk Analysis and develops a system for accident prevention with safety department. • Prepare budgets for the vessels by means of monitoring budget performance and ensuring cost effective management of vessels in order to present them to VP for review; • Prepare docking schedules for vessels, implement and monitor dry-docking process and expenses and obtain VP approval for any increased expenses; • He shall be responsible for preparation, submission, follow up and bringing all such insurance claims to their logical end with P&I and H&M underwriters. • Prepare and submit to the VP a weekly report detailing the operational status of each assigned vessel by means of reporting current issues relating to work contracts, client complaints and actions taken, operational performance, technical matters, Budgets performance , Off hires, rectifications status and class & flag state surveys. • Interact with clients by means of maintaining good working relationships with their representatives who are involved in the operations of company's vessels; • Contact clients with regard to customer property, while such property is under company's control; • Ensure complete implementation of company's quality, safety and environmental policies on board the vessels; • Assist Contracts department with the technical review of vessels that are on bid by respective tenders; • Provide recommendations on hiring new subordinates and ensure the availability of all resources required to perform the tasks and activities; • Any other duties as assigned by VP-Operations. • Ensure operations/work processes occur in accordance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and any other standards and requirements to which compliance is required • Ensure the health and safety of all employees and the protection of the environment for all sites/work premises under their control.
Qualifications Education & Professional Qualification: Ch. Eng. Or equivalent. (Minimum Requirement) preferable Bachelor's degree in Marine
Professional Experience: 5-10 Years knowledge and experience in Offshore industry .
Geographic Experience: N/A
Computer Skills: Good knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Office and web applications
Language Skills: Business fluent English
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge: Ability to write and coordinate the production of procedures and manuals
