In this role, you will be working in our HSSEQ Department, supporting Al‑Awalia’s operations by ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient day-to-day activities across operational sites and laboratory environments.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Adherence to quality, health & safety, information security, and business continuity policies.
- Provide day-to-day operational support across sites, ensuring smooth execution of activities.
- Assist in conducting on-site quality inspections during operations.
- Ensure all personnel within laboratory environments wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of laboratory and work areas at all times.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and safety requirements within laboratory and operational environments.
- Assist with basic maintenance and support activities during operations.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and free from hazards.
- Support supervisors and HSSEQ teams in implementing safety and quality practices.
- Coordinate with plant operators and general foremen to support operational requirements.
- Contribute to teamwork by maintaining a positive, cooperative work environment.
- Assist in minimizing downtime by supporting operational efficiency.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties relevant to the role as assigned by the Head of HSSEQ or line management.
About you
For you to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in construction, operations, or similar environments (preferred).
- Basic understanding of plant operations, including mechanical and electrical activities.
- Basic knowledge of QA/QC practices and quality inspection processes.
- Awareness of laboratory standards, safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices.
- Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and support operational teams.
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
- Professional conduct with integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
- Basic communication skills in English are an advantage.
