Job Description - Global Sales Officer - Qatar Airways

About the role

Qatar Airways are excited to be launching a newopportunity to join our Global Sales department in the LeisureSales team as a Global Sales Officer.

As aGlobal Sales Officer you will provide administrative &technical support to the Leisure Sales department in the areas ofVFR & Diaspora Travel and National Tourism BoardPartnerships. Here you will assist in steering channel andsegmentrelated sales activities that directly contribute to theachievement of the commercial sales targets in addition you willprovide account support for the partnership management of tourismboards.

You will be doing this by assisting withimplementation of revenue growth projects new sales products& tools and policies & guidelines in line with theannual commercial strategy and the relevant segment strategies;always with a clear focus on revenue growth and revenue protection.

Additionally you will be supporting informulating and maintaining sales policies & frameworksprocesses and procedures for Global Sales and will be responsiblefor driving day to day coordination of all projects in coordinationwith external partners QR Sales Offices globally and with variousinternal stakeholders in our head office.

Aspart of your daily responsibilities youwill:

  • Assist the Manager Key AccountsTourism Boards in growing relationships with contracted/newpartners and help achieve partnership objectives by regularlyreviewing the existing business providing account supportthroughout the entire sales cycle.
  • Monitoringmarket & competitor activity and making recommendations fornew business development and improvement of existing clientrelationships.
  • Assist the Manager Key AccountsVFR & Diaspora Travel with projects related to theimplementation of sales products sales tools policies &processes.
  • Monitoring revenue developmentinteracting regularly with sales teams within the organization andcoordinating requests and feedback for structural &tactical sales initiatives that help achieve commercialtargets.
  • Regularly run read & interpretdata analysis reports and make strong commercial recommendationsbased on data factoring in global and local market conditions andcompetitor activity.
  • Contribute to theprocesses of RFl / RFPs and partnership review meetings byassisting in developing powerful & visually informativepresentation decks.
  • Manage all administrativesales tasks including account administration in Salesforcecommercial review & filing of legal contracts managinginternal waivers & favors and interact confidently with keydepartments e.g. Legal Commercial Business Intelligence MarketingNetwork Planning
  • Support Global Sales widercommercial objectives across relevant functions by being involvedand contributing in the formulation development and implementationof tools and products that would facilitate and enhance stationperformance capabilities.

We are looking for apassionate and experienced professional to join the Global Salesteam
Bachelors Degree or equivalentqualification is essential
4 years ofjobrelated experience in a sales & marketing or an airlinecommercial department
Excellent command ofthe English language
Advanced knowledge ofthe MS Suite (Excel Word) in particular with the ability to designpowerful & visually strong presentations in MS PowerPoint
Intermediate to advanced knowledge ofTableau desirable
Knowledge/understandingof the functions in Sales Marketing PR & BusinessDevelopment along with fundamental awareness of the commercialairlines business environment its processes and practices
A proven ability to work and coordinatetasks in a matrix organization with a multicultural environmentwith strong ownership & dedication towards assignedprojects and work tasks
Excellentrelationshipbuilding skills
Strongcommunication & interpersonal skills
Proven commercial skills and businessacumen

About You

An ideal candidate for this role shoud possess the followingexperience andqualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree orequivalent qualification is essential
  • 4 yearsof jobrelated experience in a sales & marketing or anairline commercial department
