Overview

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is the first national applied University in the State of Qatar, offering applied Bachelors and Master’s degrees in addition to certificates and diplomas in various fields. Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operational

Implement the strategies and methodologies put in place to approach international stakeholders.

Research new potential sources of external funding or other kinds of support, including international government agencies, international corporations, International academic institutions, consulting/professional services firms, development agencies, foundations, nonprofit organizations, and/or academic institutions globally.

Liaise with the Director, Partnerships and Engagements to evaluate and prioritize potential funding and support sources and develop a global partnerships strategy for the University.

Build a network of key partners, keeping abreast of evolving trends (social and economic), including the application of innovation to project and partnership development.

Manage proposals/applications for global funding, ensuring that key messages used for global proposals are consistent with messaging being used for fundraising and business development within Qatar.

Liaise with Legal Directorate to manage partnership arrangements with global partners and manage these relationships, working closely with the founder where appropriate.

Establish a systematic process for partner outreach and relationship management.

Follow up with potential donors to facilitate the donations process and maintain good professional networks.

Identify opportunities for increasing engagement with target audiences including donors, membership organizations, International Universities, and partners.

Develop and manage processes for international industry engagement which enhance engagement and expand the number and quality of global industry partners.

Lead and advice the partnership team with the identification, onboarding and enablement of new international partners, based on research, project needs and missing competencies.

Maintain and foster the UDST’s relationships with international business and worldwide industry ensuring that it is aligned with UDST’s strategy.

Execute strategies to raise funds for UDST via corporate gifts, and sponsorships in line with its overarching academic and research strategy.

Research new potential sources of high-quality global talent, including international corporations, consulting firms, and graduate programs.

Secure sponsorships for various initiatives, Develop and execute methodologies for sponsorships attributed to various initiatives.

Maintain a database that contains the details of past, current and potential partnerships, and partners. Develop and overlook processes affiliated to creating databases that contains the details of past, current and potential partnerships, and partners.

Support in the budget calculations and cost impact analysis for planned initiatives and partner events.

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required

Master’s degree/ Professional certification is preferred

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of similar experience with a minimum of 1 year in a managerial position

Language:

Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language required.
