Job Description - Head Waiter

Seeking SecurityAnalyst to assist in the followingtasks:

Ensure thatstudent data contained in the State Department of Education studentdata system is handled in full compliance with FERPA, and otherstate and federal data privacy and securitylaws

Work with localdistrict IT staff with district security incidents such asransomware and DDOSattacks

Establish,maintain, and operate a department-wide Security and PrivacyIncident Response Program to ensure that incidents are properlyreported, investigated, and mitigated, asappropriate

Providetraining, guidance, technical assistance, and outreach to build aculture of privacy protection, data security, and data practicetransparency to students, parents, and the public among all stateand local governmental education entities that collect, maintain,use, or share studentdata

Work with theInfrastructure team, Applications team, Database team and othersub-units of OTSS to recommend and implement new security measures,strengthening the overall security posture of theagency

Possessexceptional communication, interpersonal, and customerserviceskills

Monitor andmanage an ongoing staff security training program and providesecurity/privacy guidance toLEAs

Address anysecurity and privacy auditfindings

Prepare andexercise agency breach response and disaster recovery plans;and

Coordinatesecurity/privacy efforts with the agency s Data Governance

Leverage allavailable tools to develop and publish vulnerabilityreports

Identify,analyze, and interpret threat actors and malicious activity inclientenvironments
