Under the guidance of the Executive Housekeeper orany other authorized by the management, to ensure the higheststandard of cleanliness of the guest rooms and associated areas toa clean, neat and well maintained standard as required by thehotel. How your day looks like: – Clean and servicebedrooms, bathrooms and associated areas to the standard of hygieneand cleanliness required by the hotel. – Re-sheet allrooms daily with clean linen, ensuring creases are removed; dustall furniture; fully clean bathrooms; replenish all guest suppliesand stationery; vacuum all rooms thoroughly. – Record allserviced rooms on worksheet, report and record any rooms thatcannot be serviced – Ensure that all VIP gifts arereplenished daily. – Assist Floor Supervisors in ensuringthat guest room flowers and plants are watered and replenished asrequired. – Dispose of all rubbish and dirty linencorrectly. – Ensure that all materials are used andstored correctly. Ensure that all equipment is maintained in aserviceable condition and report faults immediately. –Create and maintain a personal respectful rapport with all guests.Deal with their requirements and enquiries. Handle guest complaintspromptly and with thorough follow up, referring to others whennecessary. – Follow key signing procedures and takeresponsibility for assigned keys. – Hand in all lostproperty to Director of Housekeeping immediately and follow hotelpolicies and procedures. – Assist in stocktaking asrequired. – Assist in special cleaning projects asrequired. – Ensure that the hotel linen is treatedcorrectly in accordance with the Housekeeping standards.– Ensure that all guest property is handled in anefficient and correct manner. – Report any damage tobedding, curtains, blinds and soft furnishings to the FloorSupervisor. – Report to the Floor Supervisor any roomthat does not require service – “Do NotDisturb” or double locked. – Report anyshortage of linen, supplies or equipment to the Floor Housekeeper.– Undertake and complete any special projects, tasks orother reasonable request by your department head and/or HotelManagement. Requirements Qualifications – Previousexperience in a similar role – A friendly, customerfocused attitude with the drive to provide total customersatisfaction – Strong attention to detail with a passionfor hospitality – Good communication and time managementskills with a friendly personality – Availability to workvaried shifts including weekends and publicholidays
