What You'll Be Doing: •Plans, organizes, develops, implements, and directs activities forthe Country HR operations. • Manages government affairsstaff activities, including block visa generation and approval,employee work and residence permit issuance, and appropriategovernment licensing for driving, entering security zones, etc.• Protects the interests of employees in accordance withcorporate policies and relevant laws and regulations. Ensures thatapproved policies are administered equitably. • Keepsabreast of current human resources laws and pending legislationwhich might impact assigned area of responsibility. Providestraining/information sessions for assigned management group andother HR department members on current topics. • Overseesannual performance management process and annual compensationplanning process, including incentive plans, for Qatar based staff.• Oversees the completion of special HR projects insupport of country management. • Conducts independentresearch and analyses, prepares reports, and presents results andrecommendations to management. Serves as corporate consultant forarea of expertise. • Keeps informed on the status ofcurrent projects and proposals. Anticipates changes in companyworkforce and is proactive in addressing necessary actions.• Provides leadership and direction to assigned HR staff,including identifying opportunities for career growth anddevelopment. Reviews staff work output, completes performanceevaluations, and takes corrective action as necessary. Reviewssalaries and recommends adjustments. • Develops asuccession plan by identifying candidates who demonstrate potentialfor fulfilling future leadership roles. Ensures that each candidatehas a developmental plan and is provided opportunities to engage inchallenging assignments which will foster personal growth.• Supports country operations and corporate initiativesthat may impact areas of responsibility, such as new acquisitionsor proposals for new contracts. Participates in due diligenceactivities as directed by CorporateManagement.
