HR Officer - Edison International Academy

Human resource officers are thebehindthescenes collaborators and colleagues whose main jobresponsibilities are focused on helping HR directors and managersaccomplish HRrelated tasks.

HR Officers areinvolved with nearly all programs and services that relate to acompanys human resources division. Their work which is oftendecidedly administrative in nature involves documenting grievancesterminations absences performance reports and compensation andbenefits information.

Beyond administrativeduties however HR officers are also often involved in recruitinghiring and training new employees. Typical tasks therefore includeposting job openings gathering information on new applicantscontacting references and informing employees of their hiringstatus. These members of the HR team are also often responsible forhandling everything from scheduling the office holiday party tohandling travel arrangements for companyexecutives.

Requirements:

• Must be in Qatar (Local Hire)
• Musthave 3 to 5 years of experience
• BSc/BA inHuman Resource Management or Business or relevant field
• Typical responsibilities include:
• recruiting training and developing staff
• making sure that staff get paid correctly and ontime
• pensions and benefitsadministration
• approving job descriptions andadvertisements
• looking after the health safetyand welfare of all employees
• organizing stafftraining sessions and activities
• monitoringstaff performance and attendance
• advising linemanagers and other employees on employment law and the employersown employment policies and procedures
• ensuring candidates have the right to work at theorganisation
• negotiating salaries contractsworking conditions or redundancy packages with staff andrepresentatives.
