HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced HVAC Technician to support heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in our Oil & Gas facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting in hazardous or industrial environments, with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ductwork, split units, exhaust fans, etc.).
  

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in compliance with OEM manuals and maintenance schedules.
  

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues including electrical faults, refrigerant leaks, and control system malfunctions.
  

• Monitor system performance, adjust controls, and replace defective parts to ensure optimal functioning.
  

• Maintain logs and records of all maintenance work, refrigerant usage, and system performance data.
  

• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, especially in hazardous or classified zones.
  

• Support other maintenance personnel and coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation teams as required.
  

• Conduct inspections and report unsafe conditions, taking corrective action when necessary.
  

• Participate in toolbox talks, HSE audits, and emergency drills.
  

Qualifications:

• Diploma / ITI in HVAC, Mechanical, or a related technical field.
  

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician in Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.
  

• Good knowledge of HVAC systems including VRV/VRF, chilled water systems, and package units.
  

• Familiarity with HSE requirements in oil & gas operations and confined space entry procedures.
  

• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  

• Physically fit and willing to work in challenging environments, rotational shifts, or offshore sites.
  

Preferred Certifications:

• HVAC Technician Certification (e.g., EPA/CFC handling certification)
  

• H2S Awareness & Breathing Apparatus
  

• BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) – if offshore
  

• Permit to Work (PTW) System Training
  

• Fire Fighting and First Aid Certification
