The Lead ELV Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and international standards. This role requires strong technical expertise in ELV systems, leadership in managing technical teams, and advanced skills in troubleshooting multimedia, networking, and integrated security systems.
Design & Technical Leadership
Lead the design, planning, and integration of ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, audiovisual, BMS, and networking systems.
Review and approve engineering drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
Ensure designs meet MME/UPDA and QCDD standards as well as international codes.
Installation & Commissioning
Oversee the installation and configuration of ELV systems and multimedia equipment.
Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors for timely execution.
Conduct testing, commissioning, and system integration to ensure operational readiness.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and rectify faults in ELV systems, multimedia platforms, and network infrastructure.
Perform required programming and configuration changes as necessary.
Lead response to system outages and implement corrective actions.
Certifications & Specialized Expertise
Utilize advanced skills in Cisco, Vbrick, and VMware platforms for system troubleshooting and optimization.
Apply expertise in networking, server management, and virtualization for system stability.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Supervise technical staff and subcontractors, ensuring quality and safety compliance.
Provide training and mentoring to enhance team capability.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities for approvals and inspections.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all works comply with QCDD fire safety requirements, MME/UPDA standards, and project specifications.
Maintain accurate technical records, reports, and as-built documentation.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, Telecommunication, or Computer Engineering.
Licenses & Certifications:
MME/UPDA License (Mandatory)
QCDD License (Mandatory)
Cisco Certified (Mandatory)
Vbrick Certified (Mandatory)
VMware Certified (Mandatory)
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in a similar position, with at least 7 years in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ELV and multimedia systems.
Proven track record in complex ELV system integration and maintenance.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of networking, server virtualization, and multimedia platforms.
Proficiency in programming, configuration, and fault rectification for ELV systems.
Knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NFPA, QCDD, ITU, etc.).
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
Effective communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
Commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
Combination of office and field/site work.
May require extended hours, weekends, or night shifts based on project needs.
Exposure to construction environments and site conditions.
